MUSAC It's All in the Type
LOOP developed a distinctive identity for the contemporary art museum MUSAC, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León.
The architecture of modern art museums is often created with the primary intention of becoming a landmark, and is therefore an important part of the museum's identity. Therefore, LOOP chose to make a graphic identity utilising strong visuals of architectural structures combined with impressive art pieces.
An entire typography was designed using architectural elements, including components from the region of Castilla y León's shield of armour. This typeface, readable only if you have the translation, has been applied at all levels of the graphical identity, therein creating a simple and easily recognisable method of associating each aspect with MUSAC.
